Camila Mendes and Jenna Ortega are set to play sisters in upcoming film: ‘Alba’

Following success of their roles in Wednesday, Riverdale, You, and Do Revenge, Camila Mendes and Jenna Ortega are now two of Hollywood’s most recognisable leading ladies. They are currently preparing to work with Danny Ramirez, well known for his appearances in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Top Gun: Maverick, to star in the newest film from production company A24.

Alba, the movie, will be made by Francisca Alegria, an accomplished director, and will be produced by Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap Entertainment. The playwright Chelsey Lora will adapt it from Frederico Garca Lorca’s play The House of Bernarda Alba.

In the 1945 Spanish play The House of Bernarda Alba, Bernarda Alba orders an eight-year period of mourning after her husband’s passing in accordance with family custom. Alba’s daughters, who were forbidden from forming any relationships and were isolated during this morning hour, weren’t happy about this, which led to conflicts in the home. The daughters as a result rebelled against their mother’s intentions.

There have been at least five foreign language film versions of the play. The first English movie, a recording of the 1968 performance performed by the Royal Court Theatre in London, was released in 1991. The play was also performed several times by different theatre organisations in other countries.

Ortega and Robbie were seen together in pictures clicked at the Golden Globes ceremony. The photos now make more sense, considering that they were already a team for Alba.

Twitter fans described as Queens uniting Some, on the other hand, are “actually” brought to tears by it. Significantly, after being chosen as protagonists in Netflix original projects, both Ortega and Mendes received major breaks.
